The Trailer

This post has been a long time coming. Mostly its because it wasnt a highlight of my life that I want to relive in my head, but I have thought of what I want my children to read some day. I want them to know that in one point in thier lives they lived in a trailer. A trailer where the roof leaked in 6 different places when it rained, where there was no microwave, dishwasher or washer and dryer. A trailer where they got yelled at for jumping in the bathtub because we were afraid they would fall through. I want them to know that sometimes life gives you really sour lemons and you make lemonade and life comes back and dumps the container of lemonade on your head and its depressing. I want them to know that unfortunate things happen to good people and it will happen to them too.....and its ok. Or at least it will be ok. You can find happiness in times of trial and that is what this post is about. We were lucky enough to find a house to move into after four months that was more comfortable for our family and for my mental state, but for a lot of people in this world that is thier norm and thats ok too. These are a few of the happier moments from the worst four months of my life so far. ha!

I snapped this picture as we rolled out. We still threaten the kids they will have to go live there again if they are bad, it made them cry once HAHA!

We camped quite a bit with friends while we lived there, because it felt the same as living there.

Kallam found some interesting ways to reheat leftovers

Emma discovered there were worms right on the porch when it rained....super cool to a 3 year old.

Kallam loves hunting quail anyways, and they just happened to be 10 ft from the door, so he enjoyed himself.

I tried to do lots of crafts because, lets be honest, the trailer couldn't look much worse. Even if my kids spilled something permanent no one would be able to tell. The carpet turned your socks black as it was. :)

Snuggling with Nate was a must, because I wouldn't let anyone put him on the same floor that turns my sock black.

We were literally 15 mins from the beach at Lake Roosevelt!

Jenny turned 2! We had a smash cake at the park.

Jenny adapted looking the part of our neighbors who worked on cars, here she is putting bolts and nuts into her bowl. Emma would pretend to work on her "car" which was an office chair she laid under. It was cute.

There wasn't much room in the trailer to play so sometimes we would go and just play in Kallam's jeep.

Nate's Blessing

I had to start out by posting the first picture of Nate with Uncle Nate. (Awe....)

And say that the girls LOVE him.

But mostly I need to report that we blessed him! Both sides of parents were here on one day, so we got our friends and family together and had a baby blessing. It was so great!

Wehadababyitsaboy

We sure are glad our baby boy is finally here, and I think we'll keep him. After much debate we went with Nate Levi Kruse, significant to both sides of the family, so hopefully he grows up to like it. My sister Leah stopped by a couple weekends ago and with her lovely assistant(aka Randi, my other sister) she took some amazing newborn shots of Nate before they had to go. They turned out great!!!!

They smother him with their love :)

Also, anyone else remember this one? We have been saying it since we found out we were having a boy.

And a couple hospital picks just to complete the post. :)
