The Jenny girl turns ONE!!

Our sweet babe is practically a toddler as of October. I'm a little late in the game for posting these pictures, but we had such a great time celebrating with close friends and both her Gramie and Grandma got to be there! The night was complete with a make your own crazy smores bar with a fire pit and Jenny sported a crown I made her out of lace.
You also get to see how are back yard is coming along! When we got it there was nothing but gravel. :)

Shes never had sugar, so we thought she'd be excited.....but she didn't really know what to do with it. Oh well, maybe next year.

Little Helpers

We've been up to a lot the last few months. The girls are growing so fast Im getting kinda sad. Jenny is such a happy kid, and even started walking last week. Now i'm sure they will run in two different directions because thats jut murphys law. :)

And they are turning into super best buddies....

Jenny finally figured out that the bathtub is not something to be afraid of, which is great because she is filthy.....all. the. time. They love taking baths together.

Emma enjoys doing everything Mommy does, including dress up when we are not looking.

sit just like mommy....

Cook with Mommy....

Good moms let you lick the spoon when you're done. :)

The apple pie turned out pretty amazing by the way

And of course sweep when we make a mess every ten seconds while cooking.

I'll let her think chores are fun while it lasts.

We are also enjoying the last bit of beautiful flagstaff summer weather

7th Year Itch

We kinda missed doing something big on our 5th anniversary, so Kallam got the "itch" to do something big to celebrate us not having the "7 year itch" if you've heard of it. He surprised me with renting a red mustang convertable, just like the one I drove when we first met....except WAY nicer, WAY newer, and WAY faster. It was such a surprise. He planned a whole day date through oak creek canyon, sedona, and jerome with the girls at home with a babysitter. Jerome is just a cute little old mining town that refused to die, so it adapted a haunted hospital which was turned into a haunted hotel and the whole town went for tourism. Its kinda great though, and has lots of history and BEAUTIFUL 1920's achitecture. It was so much fun to just get out and explore like we used to. Someday maybe i'll have a convertable again....just for the weekends :)

Camping at Marshall Lake

As most of you know we are in the process of moving. I hate it. Our house is a disaster, so to escape the clutter we decided to go camping. It was only a few miles from our house incase we decided to go home, and I have never gotten to test out my instant tent that I got for my birthday. Here are some pics of our adventure.

This tent literally set up in 60seconds! Just like the box said. It has two rooms and you can fit four queen mattresses in it, and stand up the whole time. For camping....it was pretty great. :)

Emma got to invite her bestie and her parents(our besties) and everyone enjoyed roasting hot dogs and smores.

Emma was very sad to take the tent down(in 60 seconds again! yay) But we'll do it again sometime.

Best part.....my toddler was busy the whole time. So busy that I got to relax, and she was EXHAUSTED. Maybe I can kinda understand pretending to be homeless after all, but only when you have kids. She didn't even make it the few miles home.
