Dr. Seuss cupcakes

I recently did cupcakes for a friends baby shower and thought i'd share. They turned out pretty good, but thought i'd share my experience in case any of you wanted to give them a try!

These are "thing 1" and "thing 2" inspired cupcakes. I spent quite a while getting it fluffed perfectly. All the tutorials online failed to mention that frosting makes the cotton candy melt.

1 hour later....

So make sure to put the cotton candy on right before you bring them out. :)

These were key lime cupcakes that were "green eggs and ham" They were delish! If you ever have the chance to make key lime cupcakes with cream cheese frosting....for heavens sake DO IT! I will be using the recipe again for sure. It included lemon cake mix and lime gelatin mix with lime juice.

Mustache, coasters and potatoes

This is Kallam blogging for the first, and most likely the last, time ever! I am doing summer school right now which means that I spend about 10 hours a day at school doing homework. Its lots of fun. Just for fun I have been experimenting with facial hair. As you can imagine this has made me irresistible to Kayla. Just kidding, but I did get a lot more compliments than I was expecting. These are my latest looks.

Kayla and I just got back from Six Flags where we had tons of fun and Kayla only cried once! I got to talk to some Filipinos in California.........there are over a million to be talked to there! The manager of our hotel was Filipino so I got us the hook ups with some more towels delivered to our room. I have wanted to go to Six Flags for about 9 years, so it was really great to go back and get a good dose of adrenaline. I love ADRENALINE............Kayla, not so much but she did really great and we had a good time. We even spent $16.34 on a souvenir cup that had free refills all day (I always wanted one of those cups so I could look cool like everyone else).

The people that we rode with had a tire blow out on the way home that ripped off the whole back bumper. We felt pretty bad for them but glad we were all safe.

We've been making some good friends that we went shooting with the other day out in the forest. This is his potato gun which was amazing!

I was having fun trying to shoot both shot guns at once!

In other news, I sold my jeep..........twice! So now I am looking for one again. I am not sure why we sold my jeep but I am sure God has a reason he just hasn't told us yet, although we were able to upgrade so to speak. But now that I am jeep-less again we have enough money to pay my summer tuition! Who knew school was so pricey???
